Reginus: Modulares Sitzsystem für den ÖPNV
Die tragende Struktur des Reginus bilden zwei Holzholme. Da diese entgegen der Regel innerhalb der Sitzkontur liegen, ist diese für Kunden frei konturierbar, ohne dadurch die Statik der Sitze zu beeinflussen. Zusammen mit verschiedenen Sitzbelagsausführungen (voll-, teil- und ungepolstert mit und ohne Inlays) ergibt sich ein sehr großes Spektrum an Individualisierungsmöglichkeiten. Innerhalb des Sitzsystems sind Ausführungen mit hoher Rückenlehne, Mutter-Kind- und Klappsitze bereits entwickelt; ebenso ein Sortiment im Design abgestimmter Halteelemente. Das Medianprofil wurde mittels eines verstellbaren Sitzmodells und Probanden optimal eingestellt.
Reginus: Modular Seating System for Public Transport
The load-bearing structure of Reginus is formed by two wooden spars. As these lie within the seat contour, contrary to the rule, this can be freely contoured for customers without thereby influencing the statics of the seats. Together with various seat covering versions (fully upholstered, partially upholstered and unupholstered with and without inlays), this results in a very wide range of individualisation options. Within the seating system, versions with high backrests, mother-child and folding seats have already been developed; as well as a range of holding elements coordinated in design. The median profile was optimally adjusted by means of an adjustable seat model and test persons.
Das gesamte System erlaubt eine Vielzahl an Kombinationen für das unter Umständen bereits gegebene Erscheinungsbild des Fahrzeugbetreibers. Variablen in punkto Sitzkomfort, Vandalismusresistenz und Anschaffungskosten sind somit leicht zu treffen. Für Griffe, Haltestangen und Einstiegshilfen sind bereits Montagepunkte vorbereitet.
The entire system allows a multitude of combinations for the vehicle operator's appearance, which may already be given. Variables in terms of seating comfort, vandalism resistance and acquisition costs are thus easy to make. Mounting points are already prepared for handles, grab rails and boarding aids.
Das Erscheinungsbild im Wagen bleibt durch die prägende Charakteristik der Holme durch alle Varianten hindurch bestehen. Die Holme können in Holzoptik klar verschiedenfarbig lasiert werden. Wenn Holz für das Fahrzeugdesign nicht in Frage kommt, wird deckend lackiert.

Auch eine inverse Lösung ist möglich: Bei Kunststoffschalen werten die Holzeinlagen den Sitz auf, bleiben dabei resitent gegen starke Abnutzung und Vandalismus, und lassen sich wie auch die Polstereinlagen leicht tauschen.
An inverse solution is also possible: with plastic shells, the wooden inserts enhance the seat while remaining resistant to heavy wear and vandalism and, like the upholstery inserts, can be easily replaced.
