Weltneuheit:
Kärcher Futuretech successfully develops mobile infrastructure for civilian and defense purposes—solutions that have a real and long-term impact on security and stability. At the world’s leading trade fair for firefighting, emergency medical services, and civil protection, the xTP trailer platform—designed for a wide range of applications—was unveiled as a world first. We were involved in this project from the very beginning, even during the exploratory phase of the technical design. Our responsibilities included optimizing workflows, storage solutions, climate control, lighting, and design in collaboration with the engineering and project management teams.
Eine kurze Übersicht der Möglichkeiten / A brief overview of the options:

The idea behind the project is to create a multifunctional platform for various applications. The first concept developed was to combine the advantages of a container kitchen with those of a modular field kitchen. The existing MFK 2 mobile field kitchen served as a reference for the required interior fittings. However, the resulting concept goes far beyond that in terms of its possible applications:The xTP module can also be used as a platform for restrooms, showers, washrooms, command centers, and numerous other configurations.
To determine the framework conditions for the formal and functional implementation of the xTP, the existing modules and components were tested in a mock-up. During this process, the following goals and requirements for the workflow were discussed and defined: excellent working and hygiene conditions, protection against vectors and weather conditions, and good insulation. The following requirements applied to mobility and transport: Tactical flexibility, rapid installation with minimal setup and takedown effort, high mobility, and small towing vehicles.

To create an expanded, enclosed workspace, a tent fabric is stretched across the edges of the open flaps. This fabric has openings that allow access to the trailer and, at the same time, enable loading and unloading using Gastronorm containers. To provide an extended work surface, we designed a table structure that can be attached to the airline beams. The tabletop attaches very easily to this structure. The table’s dimensions are: L 2200 x W 300, with an ergonomic height of approx. 950 above the floor.
The functional folding tray slides into an H-profile that is permanently mounted on the module. Thanks to its design, the tray can also be attached to the airline rails outside the trailer. The tray’s dimensions are precisely tailored to the Gastronorm boxes used exclusively with it. During the design process, particular emphasis was placed on user-friendly operation and application to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow inside the trailer. The Technical Module's interface features icons that allow for quick, intuitive control of the lights, water pump and aeration.
